The annual Benefit was launched at Comité Noviembre's tenth anniversary in 1996, instituted to raise funds for its Scholarship Programs:

  • Comité Noviembre Scholarship for Volunteerism recognizes exceptional Puerto Rican youth who are making a difference in their community.

  • The Richie Perez Scholarship for Peace & Justice recognizes Puerto Rican youth for their commitment, activism, and achievements in any of the areas of human rights and social justice.

  • The Ernesto Malave Scholarship for the Arts recognizes Puerto Ricans pursuing a higher education majoring in the Arts.

  • Julia Mandry Scholarship recognizes Puerto Rican youth pursuing a higher education majoring in Public Policy, Political Science, or Civic Engagement.

  • Cabrera Drinane Family Scholarship for Social Work

  • Wallace Edgecombe Scholarship recognizes Hispanic youth advocating for and taking action to affect change in the Puerto Rican / Hispanic Community.

  • Ana Beatriz Domenech Scholarship recognizes Puerto Rican youth pursuing a career in Nursing, Advanced Practice Nurse, (LPN), or Patient Care Technician, (PCT).

  • Bello Family Scholarship recognizes Puerto Rican college youth for their commitment to Volunteer Community Service.

  • Cruz Cordero Family Scholarship recognizes Puerto Rican youth pursuing a higher education majoring in Journalism or English.

  • Dr. Evelina Antonetty Scholarship recognizes Puerto Rican youth majoring in Social Justice, Public Policy, Civic Engagement, or Human Rights Issues.

  • Loh Collado Family Scholarship recognizes Puerto Rican youth majoring in  Engineering, Pre-Med, or Computer Science.

  • Nolda Vivó Scholarship recognizes Puerto Rican youth pursuing a career in Bilingual Education

  • Cecilia Carrasco Rosario (De Alicea) Scholarhips for Mature Students

To date Comité Noviembre's Annual Benefit has continued to attract key leaders of New York’s Puerto Rican community and corporate America.
